Christmas List

I have no possible way of comprehending how it can only be 15 days until Christmas.
Where has the time gone?
This is Robert's 3rd Christmas.
It will be the first Christmas that he will be able to really appreciate and understand all the activities surrounding this Holiday.
I have a list of things I want to do this Holiday season.
  • Make Salt Dough Ornaments
  • Make Paul's first hand print ornament
  • Bake and decorate cookies
  • Complete a "Countdown to Christmas"
  • Visit Callaway Gardens 'Fantasy in lights'
  • Drive around looking at Christmas lights
  • Take pictures at all the family get togethers
  • Make homemade presents
  • Bake loafs of bread to carry to elderly members of our congregation
  • Take a family picture
  • Purchase and Read a new Christmas book on Christmas Eve
  • Enjoy every single day/ moment with my beautiful family!
We have been so blessed.
3 years ago, we were engaged and very close to our wedding.
It's amazing how much has changed in 3 short years.
3 years of wedded bliss, and 2 children later things are better than I could have ever imagined.
We have so much to be thankful for!
I can't wait to share more about our Holiday season!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas.

I love how our house transforms for the Holidays.
My newest addition. I love these snow birds!
We're waiting on Paul's stocking to be made, in the meantime Hubby hung him up an oven mitt so he wouldn't feel left out.

I can't believe that Christmas is 15 days away!!
Where has this year gone?

Salt-Dough Ornaments

Last week my cousin's daughter, Daisy, came to stay with us for a day.
We had originally thought she would be here all week, and had lots of fun things planned!
She ended up coming only one day, and we had a lot of fun!
I love my boys, but it was nice to have a girl around here for a change.
We made salt dough ornaments, and the kids loved it!
 Can you believe the cuteness?

Of course this occasion called for chocolate muffins for breakfast!

I would have liked to have made more and was planning on making some shapes to let them paint. I didn't have quite enough regular, white flour and had to use whole wheat flour... They worked, but just didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked.

They are perfect on my tree!

Blog

I've been doing some cosmetic adjustments to my blog today.
I can't decide what look I am really going for... So it will continue to change until I can decide on a look I really like.

I haven't been blogging as much lately as I would like.
I want to blog more about everyday.

I've been working on my to-do wish list for the house today.

  • Redecorate Robert's room (give him a big boy room)
  • Get new living room furniture
  • Paint living room
  • Paint master bedroom
  • Paint master bathroom
  • Get new floors for living room
  • Paint Kitchen Cabinets white
  • Set up Crafting/Homemaking area in basement
  • Purge/Re-organize, paint basement
  • Clean out/organize garage
  • Decorate master bedroom
I hope to be able to complete all these things and then blog about them with as many DIY projects as we are able to complete.
It will take a LONG time since our budget doesn't allow for any of these things to happen now or for a good while.
Hopefully, it will be able to be possible before I am anticipating :)

Thanksgiving

We had a great time this Thanksgiving.
We took a trip to Tennessee to spend time with my grandmother and family.
It was a wonderful trip.
I have more to be thankful for than I could possibly dream of naming.

I know where my blessings are from, and I will continue to Thank God for EVERYTHING he has blessed me with and continues to bless me with.
"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High."
Psalm 9:1-2

Funny.

I will let this speak for itself.

Today.

Tonight I am especially thankful for this sweet baby boy.
He is such a blessing.
